Impact of WDM Channel Count on Nonlinear Effects in MDM Transmission Systems

Abstract

We vary the number of WDM channels and investigate the impact on the nonlinear effects in mode-division multiplexed transmissions. The OSNR requirements for 15 spatial modes and up to 80 WDM channels are evaluated.
