Pulsewidth and Wavelength Dependent Optical Nonlinearities of Carbon Disulfide

Abstract

The dispersion of the nonlinear refractive index, “n2”, of carbon disulfide by femto-, pico-, and nano-second pulses, and its two-photon absorption spectrum are measured. The pulsewidth dependence of “n2” is also determined.
