An Analytical Model Describing Multipeak Pulse Structure in Actively Q-Switched Fiber Lasers

Abstract

We present a simple analytical model describing the detailed structure of actively Q- switched fiber ring laser pulses. The predicted pulse shapes match experimental data with an accuracy comparable with a numerical traveling-wave model.
