Highly Efficient Light-absorbing Optical Fibres and their Applications

Abstract

Optical fibres doped with certain materials such as Co2+ convert optical power into heat with high efficiency, reaching temperature beyond 500°C. This talk describes the employment of these fibres for sensing applications. Article not available.
