Structural slow light in fiber Bragg gratings and its applications in ultra-highresolution sensing

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We review the principle of structural slow light in strong fiber Bragg gratings and their unique applications, including delay lines with group velocities of only hundreds of km/s and femtostrain sensors that can resolve thermodynamic phase noise.
