Power-scaling MEMS Q-switched solid-state lasers

Abstract

Initial steps towards power-scaling solid-state lasers Q-switched by intra-cavity scanning MEMS are reported. Using a micromirror with a low-stress dielectric coating resulted in a x5 increase of the pulse energy with cavity-limited pulse durations.
