Tailored Pulse Laser Changes the Rules for PCB and Flex Circuit Materials Processing

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Laminate microelectronics materials have vastly different laser parameter requirements for each material layer, making effective processing difficult. “On the fly” switching of pulse duration to optimally process different PCB materials is demonstrated. Other interesting pulse duration and pulse shape dependant material interactions will be demonstrated.
