Slotted Photonic Crystal Slow Light Modulators

Abstract

CMOS-compatible electro-optic modulators offering highest-speed signal processing with little power consumption are reviewed. Emphasis is given to slotted photonic crystal modulators fabricated by taking advantage of the silicon-organic hybrid platform.
