Optical Vortices and Vector Beams
Submission Open: 1 April 2016
Submission Deadline: 30 April 2016
Photonics Research is organizing a special issue of original research articles focusing on all aspects of optical vortices. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Optical vortices generation, detection and modulation
- Phase and polarization singularity
- Cylindrical vector beams
- Plasmonic vortices generation and application
- Orbital angular momentum in optical communication and interconnection
- Optical trapping and manipulation
- Optical vortices for biomedical applications
- Integrated photonics for optical vortices
- Imaging technology using optical vortices
- Optical probing and sensing using optical vortices
- Optical vortices generation and application in RF, microwave, millimeter-wave and THz waves
- Ultrafast optical vortices
- Quantum information using optical vortices
- Interaction of optical vortices and materials
- Innovative applications of optical vortices
Manuscripts must be prepared according to the usual standards for submission to Photonics Research. Manuscripts must also be uploaded through OSA's electronic submission system. Please specify that the manuscript is for the Optical Vortices and Vector Beams feature issue (choose from the feature issue drop-down menu). Manuscripts will undergo the same peer review as other papers submitted to the journal. The standard Photonics Research article processing charges will apply.
