Feature Issues of Optical Materials Express
Persistent and Photostimulable Phosphors 2015
Submission Opens:1 December 2015
Submission Deadline: 10 January 2016
In the framework of the International Workshop on Persistent and Photostimulable Phosphors (Nov. 9-13, 2015, The University of Texas at Arlington, USA), Optical Materials Express will publish papers on this topic in a dedicated Feature Issue. All papers need to present original, previously unpublished work, and will be subject to the normal standards and peer-review process of the Journal.
Papers are welcomed on the experimental and theoretical aspects of energy storage in luminescent materials, as found in persistent and photostimulable phosphors. The feature issue covers not only novel materials and their detailed structural and optical characterization, but also emerging applications (eg, in bio-imaging or for mechanoluminescence-based pressure sensing) and visual perception of persistent phosphors. Papers leading to a deeper insight in the storage and release mechanism through advanced characterization techniques are of particular interest.
Papers will be published online upon acceptance. Additionally, once all papers have been published, a virtual feature issue with a table of contents will appear. Normal Optical Materials Express Article Processing Charges will apply to all published articles.
Manuscripts must be prepared according to the usual standards for submission to Optics Materials Express and must be uploaded through OSA's electronic submission system (/ome/journal/ome/author.cfm). When submitting, please specify that the manuscript is for the Persistent and Photostimulable Phosphors feature issue (choose from the drop-down menu).
