Feature Issue of Optics Express

Asia-Pacific Optical Sensors Conference (APOS)

Submission Opens:2 January 2020

Submission Deadline: 15 February 2020

Optics Express welcomes submissions to a feature issue in conjunction with the 8th Asia-Pacific Optical Sensors Conference in Auckland, New Zealand on 19-22 November 2019. The journal welcomes submissions only from the oral and poster papers accepted for the meeting.

This issue will cover a wide range of optical sensing fields from fundamental research to applications, including geophysics; civil engineering and distributed sensing; biological and biomedical sensing; fiber, grating, and component technologies for sensing; chemical and gas sensing; imaging and signal processing technologies for sensing; and novel concepts for photonic sensing.

All submissions need to present original, previously unpublished work and will be subject to the normal standards and peer review processes of the journal. The standard Optics Express Article Processing Charges will apply to all published articles. To be eligible for publication, an expanded conference paper needs to add value to the original conference abstract and the conference paper number must be included in the cover letter at submission. Please see OSA's guidelines on expanded conference papers for details.

Please prepare manuscripts according to the author instructions for submission to Optics Express and submit through OSA's electronic submission system, specifying from the drop-down menu that the manuscript is for the feature issue on the Asia-Pacific Optical Sensors Conference.
