Abstract
This paper discusses the layout and operating principle of a photoelectric angular-position sensor based on obturation raster coupling with interperiod interpolation of the angle, in which filtering of the spatial spectrum of the images of the raster lines is used to increase the accuracy. The maximum measurement error of the angular position achieved on a prototype of the sensor was ±0.7″.
