Abstract
This paper presents the results of studies of an experimental sample of a UV direction finder (UVDF) based on an array photodetector. Questions of the automatic detection of targets on an interfering inhomogeneous background are considered. A description is given of the software-hardware signal-processing subsystem of the UVDF. An efficient algorithm is proposed for detecting a target in real time on the basis of the experimentally determined parameters of the useful signal and the noise. The results of full-scale tests are presented.
