Abstract

The base test plates of first-class precision and the first conjugacy group are proposed for use as reference master molds for the organization of the serial and mass production of spherical mirrors and lenses using precision replication in the polymer layers of blanks with one or two polished working surfaces. The expedience of using a master mold hierarchy, comprising reference, sample, control, and working molds, in serial production is demonstrated. The key aspects of the practical implementation of this proposal are briefly discussed.
