Abstract

Methods have been developed for determining the fraction of aromatic hydrocarbons from the measured birefringence induced in a fuel by a magnetic field, and a rapid method has been developed for estimating the quality of motor fuels, using the refraction dispersion of light, the refraction intercept, and the specific refraction.
