Abstract
We theoretically demonstrate the feasibility of resonantly enhanced, stimulated electronic Raman scattering (SERS) of Se x-ray laser radiation in atomic He and Li and estimate the Stokes output. We show that, despite strong photoionization, the conversion efficiency of the Raman process can be considerably high. We despite also found that coherent SERS can significantly inhibit x-ray-induced photoionization.
