Classical Optics in France

JOSA A is soliciting papers to highlight the breadth and relevance of classical optics research in France. This feature issue will provide researchers in France with the opportunity to share their current research and to showcase French developments in classical optics, imaging science, and vision to the global community. It will also present some historical content and the current state and organization of research in the country.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Atmospheric optics
- Clinical vision
- Coherence and Statistical Optics
- Color
- Diffraction and gratings
- Image processing
- Machine vision
- Physiological optics
- Polarization
- Scattering
- Signal processing
- Thin films
- Visual optics
All papers need to present original, previously unpublished work, and will be subject to the normal standards and peer-review process of the journal. Manuscripts must be prepared according to the usual guidelines for submission to JOSA A and must be uploaded through OSA's electronic submission system. When submitting, please specify that the manuscript is for the Classical Optics in France feature issue (choose from the drop-down menu).
