Abstract
We report on experiments in x-ray holographic microscopy using a storage-ring x-ray source. Holograms of various simple objects in the size range 0.5–12 μm have been recorded by using 0.4-keV x rays and reconstructed by using a He:Cd laser (4416 Å). The reconstructed image characteristics are in line with expectations concerning resolution, signal-to-noise ratio, field of view, etc. In particular, the transverse resolution in the best case was 1–2 μm, and exposure times were in the range 3–100 min.
