Abstract
A novel wind direction sensing system based on fiber Bragg grating sensor technology and cantilever beam are proposed. The cantilever structure is used to introduce a linear strain gradient on the grating, and two cam structures are used to uniquely confirm the direction of the wind. Based on the experimental results, the linear fitting performance of the cantilever beam is close to one. In addition, the measurement accuracy of wind direction is 10 deg.
