Abstract

We provide a correction of Eq. (4) reported in [Optica 4, 757 (2017) [CrossRef] ].

Equation (4) on page 760 of Ref. [1] was incorrect: A factor $1 / (4 x^{2} + 1)$ was omitted in front of the term $δ U / U$ . The correct expression is

{\frac{δ ω}{Δ ω} |}_{\min} = - Q + \frac{x + Q}{1 + {(2 Q)}^{- 1} \sqrt{(4 x^{2} + 1) / (1 + δ U / U) - 1}} .

This is simply a typographical error. During analysis of the data, we used the proper expression to determine Fig. 4(a) and the minimal nano-particle volume. The error does not change the results or conclusions.
