Abstract
It is demonstrated that the superprism effect is greatly enhanced in the configuration of a symmetrical metal-cladding waveguide owing to the strong dispersion effect of ultrahigh-order modes. The experimental result shows that a notable spatial displacement of the reflected beam as large as is achieved within a variation of in wavelength.
