Abstract
We propose and demonstrate an individually controllable TE–TM polarization splitter–combiner. Using these controllable characteristics, we can tune the cross-talk values of the fabricated devices to their optimum values. The measured cross-talk values for the TE and TM polarizations of our device are lower than −20 dB at operational voltages of less than 20 V.
