Abstract
The beam–foil spectrum of nitrogen has been studied between 100 and 400 Å at a beam energy of 2 MeV. The observed lines belong to N iii-N vi. Some of them may be attributed to transitions between doubly excited states of the quartet system of N v. The mean lives of several terms of N iv–N vi have been measured.
