Abstract
The first-, second-, and third-order asymmetric aberrations of a lens–hologram system are studied. The system consists of lenses with aberrations in both the object and the reference beams and the image is reconstructed with the reverse of the plane-wave reference beam with aberrations. During reconstruction, the hologram may be displaced from the recording position. The analysis utilizes coordinate transformations, wavefront analysis, and the angle eikonal.
