Abstract
Fourier spectroscopy is proposed for the spectroradiometric intercomparison of a source and a detector over a broad spectral band which includes the visible region. The first stage of an investigation of the accuracy of the technique has been completed with the measurement of the spectral transmittances of filters over the wavelength range 400–850 nm. Relative errors of less than one percent of the peak energy in the spectrum have been achieved.
