Abstract
The development of an instrument for selecting visually neutral areas of photographic dye images, indicated desirability of film samples characterized by an equiluminous area with uniform color gradients. The mathematical development of the technique for arriving at the required conditions for exposing the film sheets is given. Exposure conditions for a particular color film and viewing illuminant are computed in an example.
