Abstract

An emission spectrographic method for the simultaneous determination of trace quantities of copper, manganese, iron, and calcium in various types of dry natural rubber is described. The results are reproducible, the coefficient of variation averaging about 6% for samples of 1 g or larger. Accuracy of this method is verified by parallel analysis with atomic absorption spectrometry.
