Abstract

Certain well-known infrared frequencies were studied in new derivatives of 10-substituted phenoxarsine, and the effect of arsenic on <i>v</i>C=O, <i>v</i>SO2(sym), <i>v</i>P=O, and <i>v</i>P=S are explained in terms of simple electronic theory. No explanation is given for <i>v</i>C=S in the xanthate derivatives.
