Abstract
Stability of optical solitons amplified periodically by the stimulated Raman process in a fiber is numerically studied for various ranges of parameters. A stable transmission of ≳10-G bit soliton train can be achieved by a careful choice of parameters with reasonably large amplifier spacings (≃30 km) and small soliton and pump powers (≃30 mW).
