Abstract
A small computer has been integrated into the usual laser calorimetry experiment. A numerical algorithm has been developed for the Hewlett-Packard 9815A to reduce raw temperature–time data to three straight lines representing steady-state temperature–time curves. The algorithm successfully deals with temperature variations due to scattered laser light and noise.
