Abstract
Using time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect spectroscopy, the magnetization and coercivity dynamics in GaMnAs are investigated. A subpicosecond ferromagnetic to paramagnetic phase transition is observed, followed by coercivity enhancement on longer time scales.
