Abstract
Media with strong second-order susceptibilities have always been sought for wave-mixing and phase-dependent amplification applications. Their interest is still increasing with new developments in χ(3) phase nonlinearities obtained by cascading χ(2) (Ref. 1). The Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) deposition technique is very attractive because it gives us the opportunity to build new media with specific nonlinear segments adequately oriented.
