Utilization of Spectrum Slot Fragmentation to Improve Network Resource Efficiency on Elastic Optical Network

Abstract

A novel utilization technique of spectrum slot fragmentation is proposed for elastic optical network. By network simulation, we have confirmed the advantage of our technique and its performance improvement becomes larger for optical nodes without wavelength contention.
