Abstract
We have evaluated the stability of Bragg gratings written with cw UV light in two types of optical fiber with and without hydrogen loading. Although hydrogen-loaded fibers are more photosensitive,1 we find that gratings in these fibers are considerably less stable than their non-hydrogen-loaded counterparts.
