Abstract
Using temperature tunable performance of nanoparticle magnetic fluid, the transmission spectrum of one-dimensional photonic crystals with a defect layer structural of A(BA)5BB(AB)5A is numerically simulated by transfer matrix method. The result shows that the wavelength of defect modes shifts to the side of short waves with increasing temperature, its maximum variation is 16nm. When the temperature range is 35°C–80°C, the wavelength of defect modes change linearly with temperature, and the temperature sensitivity is 0.35nm/°C. The quality factor of the defect modes has the trend of increasing as the temperature rises, meanwhile it has small volatilities.
