Efficient and Coherent Conversion of 80 GHz Signals into the Optical Domain Using a Nonlinear Whispering Gallery Mode Resonator

Abstract

We present efficient up-conversion of 80 GHz signals into the optical regime utilizing a high-Q dielectric resonator. Since the system is all-resonant and phase-matched, we reach a record power conversion of 6%.
