Rogue Wave Structures in Spontaneous Modulation Instability

Abstract

Simulations of the stochastic nonlinear Schrodinger equation show analytic localized structures solutions emerging spontaneously from chaotic modulation instability. Statistical analysis identifies the extreme events with higher-order breather.
