Abstract
A compact plasmonic polarimeter is proposed. The polarimeter is made of polarization-sensitive rectangular nano-grooves, which can excite and split surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) corresponding to the handedness of incident light polarization. Interference due to split SPPs makes it possible to figure out the polarization state of the incident light. After a brief introduction of the design method, simulation results which verify the function of the device will be shown.
