Abstract
We describe how controlling the degree of entanglement of two-photon states, one can generate light beams with a tunable degree of first-order coherence. We demonstrate the capabilities of the idea with two examples: the generation of quantum states on demand, with a variable degree of coherence, and the observation of Anderson localization with partially coherent light.
