Abstract
Fast and efficient state detection of quantum systems is a crucial component of the emerging quantum technology. For example fast measurements on separated entangled atoms enable a loophole free test of Bell’s inequality, which is crucial in new applications like secure quantum key distribution and random number generation. Moreover, quantum simulation and computation experiments could potentially benefit from this measurement scheme; e.g. site-resolved detection of atoms trapped in optical lattices.
