Abstract
Nonlinear-optical upconversion has recently been under intense investigation as a method for the detection of infrared radiation [1]. By upconversion of mid-infrared (MIR) signals to the spectral range suitable for near infrared detectors (mainly silicon-based), higher detection sensitivities [2,3] and acquisition bandwidths [3,4] can be achieved.
