Abstract
Ytterbium-doped fiber lasers are advanced sources applied in numerous scientific and industrial fields due to high brightness, compact design and perfect beam quality [1]. And they are some of the most relevant sources of IR radiation for nonlinear conversion in visible range. However, emission wavelength range of Yb active ions is restricted by 0.98-1.15 mkm region. And the most efficient and simple way for broadening fiber laser generation range to longer wavelenths is based on Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) effect in silica fibers. Combination of high-power Yb-doped fiber laser and fiber Raman convertor allows obtaining radiation at any given wavelength in 1.12-1.54 mkm range [2]. It affords an opportunity to obtain high power visible radiation from bright green (550 nm) to dim red (770 nm) [3].
