Abstract
We present here the design and fabrication of an hetero-structure high-Q Slow Bloch Mode (SBM) cavity based on a 2D square lattice air holes engraved in thin film lithium niobate (TFLN). The device is fabricated by gluing the photonic crystal onto a cleaved fiber end face as shown in SEM image in Fig. 1(b). PWE (plane wave expansion) and 3D-FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain) methods are applied to investigate the dispersion and transmission properties.
