Abstract
Femtosecond pulses as well as supercontinuum pulse sources in the mid-infrared (MIR: 2~5μm) have been generated via various optical nonlinear schemes to apply various MIR sensing. Versatile MIR sources enabling wide band tunability, bandwidth variation, and arbitrary pulse shaping will open up more functional MIR sensing schemes.
