Abstract
Single and sub-cycle pulse have unique utility for attosecond science due the ability to confine strong-field interaction to one optical half-cycle [1], and the mid-IR spectral region is attractive for coherent XUV radiation generation at higher photon energies. Here we demonstrate the pulse characterization method and apparatus for a single cycle pulse source with over one octave wide spectrum spanning the 1.1-2.6 µm range.
