The nonlinear coefficient for lossy waveguides: which expression to use?

Abstract

We compare expressions for the nonlinear coefficient γ of several plasmonic waveguides against numerical methods. Using gold in its interband region as the metal, we identify the most accurate expression for y in lossy systems.
