Abstract
An absolute-term based nonlinear FFE-DFE (AT-NFFE-DFE) is proposed and demonstrated for a 112-Gb/s PAM-4 system over 50-km SSMF, which saves 25.2% computational complexity at a BER of 3.8 × 10−3 compared to the polynomial NFFE-DFE.
