Abstract

We report on the frequency doubling of a Ti:Sa laser at a wavelength of 852nm, corresponding to the cesium D2 line, using a periodically poled KTP crystal (PPKTP) placed in a singly resonant ring cavity. We have obtained a maximum stable power of 330mW for a mode-matched power of 600mW (η=55%). This is, to our knowledge, the highest power obtained at this wavelength with PPKTP; moreover, the setup is inherently simple and robust.
