Abstract

Relations are investigated between phase and group indices N and M in anisotropic inhomogeneous guiding media with nondiagonal permittivity and permeability tensors. Also examined are the effects of the optical axis rotation on the M vs N curve for the mode in a three-layered anisotropic waveguide.
