Abstract
Continuous photoelectric recording of laser-excited Raman spectra have been obtained for nonlossy liquids. The Raman cell is placed inside the cavity of a He–Ne 6328-A gas laser. The power density of the exciting radiation is of the order of 100 W/cm2 through the sample. A signal-to-noise ratio of more than 3000 is obtained for the 992-cm−1 line of benzene. Further improvements are discussed.
